PLEASE NOTE:  THE DAY IN THE NEWSLETTER FOR THE MAY PARENTS' MEETING IS NOT CORRECT. THE CORRECT DAY IS FRIDAY, MAY 9, AT 7:00PM AT THE VIRGINIA BIBLE CHAPEL. 

If there is ever any question whether a field trip, event, or meeting is cancelled check this web site.  I will have any cancellations listed as soon as I hear about them.

FYI:  All children are welcome at the monthly HEY meetings. If you are going to bring them, please call the chairperson by noon. We will provide children with a supervised craft time, a story and a snack.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

MACHE will be holding their annual homeschooling conference in Duluth at the DECC on April 18-19, 2008. (See below for the official announcement.) Mark these dates on your calendar.  If you have never been to a MACHE confernece this is a wonderful opportunity to attend one of their conferences.  The conference will not be held again in northern Minnesota for possibly many, many years.   If you don't care to attend  the workshops, come to browse the the book fair and curriculum tables.  You will go away with a wealth of knowledge of what to order for future years.  Please let people that you know who may be interested in homeschooling about this fantastic opportunity!

The 2008 MACHE Homeschool Conference and Curriculum Fair will be held April 18-19, 2008, at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center (DECC) in Duluth, Minnesota.  Dr. Jeff Myers will be the Keynote Speaker, and Steve and Teri Maxwell and Dianne Craft will be the Featured Speakers for this event. Generation Joshua will be bringing its Advocate Seminar for Teens, which will run concurrently with the Conference. In addition, on the preceding Thursday afternoon April 17, from 1-5 p.m., MACHE will present "Getting Started 101: a Seminar for Beginning Homeschoolers.
